    LABS

Join us for a weekly lab online to keep your skills sharp. Staying ready as an actor is expensive, from headshots to the many memberships required to just get seen - it's a lot. So we get it, paying for another class is the first thing to get cut when things are tight. We don't believe you should have to cut it. So we offer these zooms on a Pay What you Can basis so that everyone can stay in practice and maintain access to a supportive community while doing so.

We've had people asking if £5 is too little - Pay What You Can means just that, and if all you can afford is £1 then that's what you pay!

£1 to stay connected and ready for your next audition? What do you say?

    Saturday 4th October 2025

    10am - 12pm

ONE TAKE WONDER: how to nail your audition quickly and easily.

    A workshop for Actors

We are thrilled to once again be attending the HB FILM FESTIVAL this October.

This years workshop will focus on the importance of the eyes in your self tape audition and how you can create dynamic and attention grabbing footage in as little as one take, that will get you noticed and have them begging you for a recall.

Performances will be recorded so that you may watch back and see how the applied notes impact your presence on camera. All clips will be sent to participants upon request or you are welcome to bring your own SD Card to keep your files.

Reserve your spot today - click the button and complete the form. We will email you with confirmation of your booking and payment options.

As always we are committed to keeping our workshops at the festival accessible so payment is by donation. There is no expected minimum. All donations will be split 50/50 between the BALA Kindness Fund and the HBFF after expenses.

  • Subsidised or Discounted Places

We have launched a Kindness Fund with the express purpose of helping more people access our set price courses. If you are on Universal Credit or have a low income household, you can now select the kindness fund option on the booking form, to apply for a discounted or fully subsidised fee. Any offers we make will entirely depend upon the contents of the Kindness Fund at the time.

If you would like to support artists facing financial barriers to access our courses, you can Donate to our kindness Fund Here.

    Thank You!
